Mrs. González is a Health Administrator with the University Health System of San Antonio. She is a founding member of her company, which serves clients across Bexar County, and has over 20 years experience in the health policy and health insurance industry. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Texas at San Antonio, and continued education at La Universidad Autónoma de Xochicalco en Cuernavaca, Morelos, México.
A long time community leader, Mrs. González served as the Women, Infant, and Children Tri-County Director at Vida y Salúd Health Systems, where she oversaw Zavala, Dimmitt and La Salle Counties. She developed a Teen Clinic and summer programs for high school students to gain experience in the health industry. Mrs. González also co-founded Teatro theater troupe, which used plays to educate, entertain and inspire members of our community around the US and México. She is a member of the San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and sits on numerous boards; She has won several awards including La Prensas Health Award honoring Outstanding Women in Action. As the Vice President of the SACLC and volunteer for the National Hispanic Institute, she serves as a role model, mentor and trainer for countless youth across San Antonio and the U.S.
